Arana look herself in front of the mirror, “Ah, why I have to work there. I don’t want to work as secretary. I’m not qualified to work there but why that company still accept my interview?”
Although Arana is still doubt as to work as a secretary in the company, at the insistence of her aunt, she had to walk to start her first day as a career women after almost one years as unemployment person.
Upon arrival at the reception, Arana was taken by Halimah leading to a room where the Director of the company seat. She has been introduce to all the staff at the department but what she don’t know is she will not be a secretary for the director but her work there as a secretary of her Director’s son named Danniel Akif.
At the moment she was introduced as the new secretary for the young master in the company, Arana can felt her boss views are not pleased with her appearance wearing baju kurung. Arana don’t care about her boss that might be don’t like her way of dresses , what she know she was there to work and as long as she doing her work, her boss don’t have any right to critic about her.
On the second day of work, Arana has clashed with her boss in the elevator while arrive in the office at the morning. Danniel just stare at her without say anything. Arana can feel something weird about her boss reaction that still keep quiet from the first day they meet until now. Arana tried to ask the other staff about the boss, but they all just keep quiet cause her getting more curious with the situation.
She keeps asking herself what it is all about. Why all the people in this company like to hide something from her especially about her boss. Until this moment, her boss never gives her any instruction or order to do anything. Arana increasingly felt like there was something mysterious about the company where she worked but she did not know what the mystery.
Although she just had worked for two days, Arana felt too burden with the situation. When she came home that day, she related the matter to her aunt but the aunt only laughed at her and said perhaps she was just feeling alone because she still new there.
“Arana, you should give some space for yourself to adapt with your new job and make new friends there. I know maybe you still not used to work after almost one year you didn’t work but believe me, after few weeks or maybe months; it will be okay with you. Don’t think too much my dear”, said Arana’s aunt.
Arana just agreed with her aunt advice. Maybe she still shocked when suddenly she had to work after a long rest. “I should agree with aunt, maybe I should not think fishy about others, I have to think positive. I don’t want to just seat at home doing nothing, I must patience,” Arana talked to herself.
Third day, Arana arrive at the office as usual and just go to her room next her boss room. She starts doing her job even though she doesn’t have any work or task given by her boss. While Arana had focus with her work, without she realizes, there have a pair of eyes are watching all her acts. Yes, a pair of points that belongs to the boss, Danniel with the hatred view.
Arana who doesn’t care about what happens surrounding her just keep doing her work and the boss still watching her with full attention. From Danniel’s face, there are like a hidden an agenda that he wants to do with Arana but what, only he knows.
Sharp at five o’clock that afternoon, while Arana is waiting for the bus to go home, suddenly his boss came by car and invited to send her home. Arana without any doubt just agree without considering the consequences of her acts. Maybe Arana felt that her boss wanted to apologize for his attitude over this time that does not care about Arana. On her way go home, Arana keep smiling because she knew that all this time she had made a wrong thought about her boss.
But in Danniel’s mind, he had other agenda why he invited Arana ride his car. Danniel drive to an area away from the public that totally opposite from the way to get to the Arana home. Arana still in her world and not realize where her boss wants to take her and........
The next day, Harian Metro reported that a man aged twenty-eight years old have been found dead in the hills near the highway in a reign of terror. Victim named Danniel was found with stab wounds of twenty stabs and the police are still trying to find the weapon used as a tool for this horrific murder.
Arana’s aunt could just shake her head when reading the news on that morning. She was able to predict this would happen. She knew all the history of the Arana who’s too obsessed with every boss in her workplaces before this. Because of her illness, she did not let Arana to work and within one year ago, she was trying to cure Arana but there still no avail. “Oh Arana, where are you right now dear? Please come home...”
At the same time in other place, Arana was laughed showing her happiness of her success killed her boss. She has wait for the moment for a long time ago. “I love you so much Danniel. I have to kill you, if I can’t have you, no one else also can’t get you. You are the only man for me.” Arana talked to herself. She continued to laugh alone in the old hut................
